Welcome to a new CLOTH REVIVAL blog make.
This is a simple ‘NO Sew’ upcycle of a t.shirt into an apron. It is a video tutorial I made during covid. Strange the things we did to fill our time.
With summer holidays upon us now, it is a fab project that can be done with children (scissors involved, so age appropriate).
It’s no surprise to anyone who has followed my Sewing Street journey, that I always wear an apron. These t.shirt aprons hang in a hook inside my airing cupboard door and always get picked for the messiest jobs…….yep, I have my posh pinnies and my working pinnies!
On plain t.shirts the kiddies could be occupied further with some permanent markers to decorate them. Then iron/press their artwork . This helps set the pigments to make them more resilient to washing, although they will fade in time. For permanent artwork you could invest in some fabric markers.
It’s a quick and fun make, Do give it a go 😁
